6 Ways To Storing & Organizing Handbags

For many of us, handbags are an integral part of our wardrobe. With so many shapes and sizes, it can be a little tricky to keep them organized and well-protected. For today's post, we look at 6 ways to store and organize your precious carriers.

>> If it's a bag, it can be shelved

As with shoes, a no-frill solution to keep handbags is on shelves. Shelves allow you to display what you have and help create that boutique feeling in your closet. Stack them upright side by side, with the most frequently used within easy reach and sight. You can also use inexpensive book-ends (like above) to section your bags.

>> Everyone's a star in the cubby

For those of you with more space and higher budgets you can always build cubbies and store your bags and purses like works of art. These are perfect as room decor and also keep your handbags looking neat and prized.

 >> Getting hooked on display

Hooks are excellent ways to store satchels and totes. Use accessory hooks or S-hooks on the closet rod and arrange your bags by size or colour. For a more creative alternative, try using shower rings (as below).

>>  Behind closed doors /  blatant open walls

A simple solution is to install a row of hooks right into your closet or mounted on walls / doors. It's easy to retrieve your bags whenever you want them, and is a practical solution for those without the luxury of space.

 >> Space saver shelf storage system aka S.S.S.S.S.

Long term storage by hanging can eventually damage (stretch) the strap. If you're storing expensive bags, I recommend a shelf system with divider supports. Many are reasonably priced and also protect against dust. You could also DIY one of these easy enough with left-over fabric and snaps/buttons etc.

A hanging rack is another fabulous storage idea. The Jokari Hanging Purse Rack holds up to eight purses per strap. That is a lot of purse storage for under ten dollars. Hurry they are having a sale now!

>> The cute & sexy goes into hiding

Because they’re smaller in size, many clutches and small purses are ideal for storing in drawers. This way they won't get lost, and you can see them all at one glance.

That's all for now - my 6 favourite ways for storing bags. I hope this post gave you a few ideas for your own closet organizing. Thanks for reading!
